Crashing Kids
Pediatric Medical Emergencies Update
This intensive seminar is designed to offer the attendee an intermediate level review of “real life” assessment and management principles of pediatric patients with medical emergencies. The program will cover current, as well as, future treatment methodologies of “crashing kids” in the EMS and medical center settings. This 1-day program will help build on the already strong knowledge base of the emergency, pediatric, and critical care nurse, as well as respiratory therapists, and paramedics. The overall objectives of “Crashing Kids”:
Objectives
- Gain a better understanding of the pathophysiology associated with various pediatric medical emergencies.
- Learn current research findings in regards to the assessment and management of selected pediatric medical emergencies.
- Be able to discuss and appropriately care for case study patients, incorporating information on assessment and management.
