Pedi-Wheel
Pediatric Emergency Cheat Sheet
The Pedi-Wheel is a convenient pocket reference tool that puts vital pediatric data at your fingertips. An incredibly valuable reference for medical professionals and students because we’ve compiled volumes of vital pediatric information into this slide chart that is only the size of a compact disc. The Pedi-Wheel is perfect for every day use or as a study aid. Turn the dial to your patient’s age on one side and the following information appears in the window: ideal body weight, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, suggested sizes for ET tubes and the average length of a properly inserted ET tube at the teeth or gum line, and other tiny tube sizes. Age categories range from preemie to 12 years-old.
All new details include:
- Color coded to Broselow-Luten & Handtevy systems
- Backup/alternate airway sizes (King/LMA/i-gel)
- More tiny tubes – NG/suction/Foley sizes
- Easier EPI (now in mL)
- More meds including Ketamine and Rocuronium
This sturdy, full-color wheel is water resistant and fits perfectly in your pocket, clipboard, drug box, or crash cart. Ideal for paramedics, EMTs, nurses, physicians, students, or anyone in the medical field that deals with pediatrics.

Jay County EMS just conducted its yearly pediatric audit for the National EMS for Children initiative. The first year I completed it, we scored 17 out of 100. I was so embarrassed. Between this training kit and a new purchase approved by the county commissioners to switch to Handevy Pediatric Assessment system, I'm proud to say that Jay County EMS scored 98 out of 100 in readiness for emergencies involving kids. I'm still going to stress when pediatric calls go out, but I'm more confident because of a few tools we put in the toolbox, and I know my coworkers are too.

“Scenarios in Seconds is awesome. The first time that I experienced it, I was blown away, just absolutely blown away, by not only the simplicity of it but how easy it was to learn from it.”

“We all know that you don’t take care of that many kids, so what you don’t do frequently you have to rehearse much more frequently. This makes it easy. You don’t have to get a whole lot of equipment together or have a formally accredited instructor or any of a number of other things that you might have to do other circumstances. This? Set it up in five minutes, take however much time you can with however large a group you have - whether it’s one person or it’s a whole class, it’s gonna work for you."
Lou Romig MD, FAAP, FACEPMedical Director
“Having Scenarios in Seconds (is great) to go to to grab that very quick, real time education piece that is something so easy for the associates to work through themselves and they get real time feedback. They are timing themselves and their answers. They’re looking at their answers and they have the opportunity to ask questions, to build their skill, and to reinforce their learning in the moment with very little effort from the nurse educator.”
Kelly Eberbach, DNP, MBA, RN, CPENClinical Nurse Educator
“It’s portable and versatile and people get very excited about being able to put their hands on the tools that they don’t normally get to use until that emergency comes up, so it’s been a great teaching tool for us.”
Julie Bacon, MSN-HCSM, RNC-LRN, NE-BC, CPN, CPEN, C-NPT
“We have had Scenarios in Seconds for years and have educated countless nurses, EMS staff, providers, and students with this equipment. I love its portability and flexibility. Students can do scenarios independently or we can do it as a large class. I'm very grateful for the new updates with videos to continue to further students' education. I must also add that all of you have been WONDERFUL to work with over the years! We've done the Scenarios in Seconds, CPEN classes, and purchased many items including pedi-wheels. As Iowa ENA President, these are the most requested item to provide as "giveaways"! Thanks for all you do!”
